Veterans Voices of Canada

All Veterans have a story, and we at Veterans Voices of Canada would like to give them the opportunity to tell it through our professional video documentation. From WW2 to recent Veterans, we feel it is very important to document their story for history. Many RCMP Veterans have served in military capacity, and we would like to document their story along with their military brothers and sisters.

VETS Canada

As VETS Canada continues to grow, our goal is that VETS Canada is recognized throughout Canada for its expertise in seeking out and providing an initial response to homeless and at-risk veterans. With Ground Support Teams in every province, we will seek out and provide initial aid and comfort to homeless and at-risk vets. Dedicated and trained volunteers will have an excellent understanding of the support that government and other organizations can provide and will have cultivated effective working relationships with these groups that allow them to assist vets within their respective mandates.

True Patriot Love

In 2008, when our soldiers were returning home from Afghanistan, and the impact of war was weighing heavily on them and their families, Canada’s Chief of Defence Staff challenged a group of Toronto-based philanthropists to raise some money to support them.

The following year, we held our first Tribute Dinner that brought 2,000 Canadians together, raising $2 million in one evening. That first dinner proved that Canadians are proud of our military, and are seeking ways, beyond wearing the poppy on Remembrance Day, to express their support. And the True Patriot Love Foundation was born.

"Serving honor and need"

The Gary Sinise Foundation was established under the philanthropic direction of Gary Sinise, an actor and forty-year advocate for the nation's military and defenders. The Foundation's outreach supported those who sacrifice to defend the United States: active duty, veterans, first responders, and their families.

The Foundation achieves its mission through a number of programs designed to show gratitude for these American heroes through entertainment, family support, and acts of appreciation. The Foundation builds specially adapted homes of severely wounded veterans, hosting daylong morale-boosting celebrations at military medical centers across the country, and providing meals to veterans and their families across the country. The Foundation is committed to ensuring veterans' sacrifices are never forgotten.

The Fund also helps to provide housing assistance to injured soldiers and their families, opportunities for children of wounded warriors to attend summer camp, canine assistance, and ongoing transportation assistance, along with several other unique programs aimed at easing the transition for wounded soldiers and their families.
